Comments:
As the SFI and sunspot count dropped heading into the weekend, I thought this
contest might be a washout. Worked the local guys Friday evening with no skip to
anywhere else.
Came in Saturday morning and the band was alive with signals. Worked mid-west
and east coast stations, including some shorter skip into ID and MT. Most
signals were somewhat weak. That lasted for a few hours before the band turned
quiet again.
Sunday morning was even better. The band opened to CA and NV, then opened
broadly across the country and into VE3 with very strong signals. That lasted
for about four hours before it shifted to CO and WY. It was open to PY pretty
much all day. Really fun.
