Comments:
Huge thanks to Jim, K8MR for finding the toasty barrel connector and hooking
things up for 10M and to Charlie, NF4A for pulling together and shipping a PC.
But in my post-fall situation, interfacing the IC-7300 to the PC proved
flummoxing for what seemed like forever. Finally made the first QSO at about
1700Z.
1-radio for the first time in forever. After an hour of maybe 25 QSOs with the
beam fixed at 150 degs, took more time to slowly hook up a rotator control box.
Operated a lot after that if the rate was decent...
LP CW UNASSISTED about 15 hours 935/51/18 = 258,060
The FCG was in the right place this time - congrats to Terry, N4TB for kicking
butt in low power and to Wolf, NN7CW for presumably dominating HP.
Highlights - FR V5 ZD7
Heard while setting up and never worked - CO8 YV
Heard while operating - EA I
Never heard but mentioned in other FCG posts - DL F G VK
Never heard Colorado (!) and the Dakotas, but got the other continental States.
Tons of potential QSOs CQed in my face. IC-7300 to homebrew 6L. All typed L
handed after bad fall in Aug 2020. Missed last ARRL 10 completely.
CU in ARRL Jan VHF 6M only. Hope for E-skip despite the late date. I've given
up trying to move it to early Jan.
Happy Holidays!
73/OJ/CW, Dan
