Comments:
Had to operated low power, due to Alpha 9500 being out for repair. Conditions to
JA poor. Worked only 3 JA's, the usual big guns. JA3YBT is usually 20 over S9,
this morning he was inaudible on the TX vertical and just good enough to work on
the experimental receive antenna. It took many many calls to land him just
before the end of the contest. The east coast stations can't seem to get out of
the habit of working among themselves (for few points) or working Europe in
preference to the West Coast, when the number of points is similar. Similarly,
why are there pileups on the Caribbean but not Alaska and Hawaii? This is the
SP,
not the ARRL or CQWW.
