Maybe I should of taken a rest
Here I sit, radio and key in front of me
Calling CQ in QRP
Making a poet out of me
5 watts to an inverted V
Hardly anyone answers me
Not knowing what the night will be
So lonely is QRP
But I keep calling CQ TEST
Good thing I'm not on phone, I'd be out of breath!
"Life is too short for QRP" as they say
But for me it's the only way
Be 5 watts or less
I'm still in this test
They bust my call WB9TFF
How do they know she's on my left!
She's the CW Queen in this shack
Just thought I'd admit that
Many plaques to choose for this test
I'll be happy to finish this quest
For I know it'll be my best
