Home station so switched on amp to compensate for Pile-O-Dirt Attenuator (TM)
behind me to the East. Unfortunately, amp doesn't help with RX.
(I've always felt that if "NS" wants to attract more small station
ops, it should be a high power contest so deaf guys like me can hear. I know
this is heresy but that's the perspective from behind my little mountain.)
40 seemed noisy so went to 80 early. Am a reverse-alligator on 160; only one
station heard me, though I heard a lot.
