Congratulations to N2IC for a super score.
This is a very large contest. I think I worked N2IC twice? Most of the top
guys you never hear much. With the band scopes so full of stations, they are
easy to miss.
Packet pileups have arrived - perhaps they were already there. First few hours
were super intense. Looking at my log analysis I am amazed how many PA stations
I worked. More W3's than W6's by a large margin. I am not crazy about assisted
categories in this contest, but I must admit that it did bring out the activity
from those who wanted it.
Not a super weekend to be north (are any?). WW1ME sounded like a UA9 here. 10
and 15 were great at the start, but 20 just never had any traction. Piled up
some Q's there, but only because the band was open for so long. 160 was not
good at all up here - I couldn't even work Ohio! (I tried and tried).
This contest has great rules. I love multipliers. Had a lot of success with
moves for a while, then most of them went splat. But thanks to those who were
willing to try.
