SO(A)-40@N3AC, using the Phoenix-40 (Moxon):
I started after supper, and after 5 minutes had very high SWR. Eventually
figured it probably wasn't the antenna or anything up the tower. After a SWR
sweep at the tower, I bypassed a remote switch at grade and swept from the
radio. Still high SWR! So I removed the remote sensor for a Heathkit HM-2140,
and all was working again. Just checked the sensor, and it's shorted - so should
be easy to find and fix.
I never heard ND nor a real KL7, though Jon in LA was spotted there. Also missed
DC and many Canadian sections.
