Comments:
Fair conditions on 80M tonight. Some static bursts from a front that is
supposed to reach us about 4 AM tomorrow. Wondered if I had made as mistake by
starting on 80 when the rate for the first 5 minutes was very slow. It then
picked up and I had fun running until about the last five minutes when the rate
dropped and I finished it up S&P. Was very nice to be called by old friend
S53R. The zepp appeared to be intermittent tonight on returning to receive, so
I used the inverted vee dipole for the last 50 minutes or so without switching
to the zepp as I usually do. The zepp is usually better to the north and to
