Well, that was fun, I think. OK, which one of you forgot to put money in the 10M
meter before the contest? Dead. Bummer. But I had a 3 hr blast (really 2 1/2
hrs) on 15 - yes used 100W, unassisted, with a nice pair of 15M beams. Probably
stayed on 15 a bit too long, but when I got to 20 - was I in EU in a WPX SSB
contest? What a zoo. Although - great to see so many ops out contesting!
Went to 40 90 mins later, still daylight out here in the PNW. I was told I was
loud in New England so I S&P until I finally found a run freq late in the
game, for a 102 q's. Dragon Music was present - sucked up 30+ KZ of the band.
Then off to 75 to vacuum up mults - 75 was starting to go long just as the
witching hour for single ops arrived.
Highlight was cracking the V31RR pileup on 40, barefoot with the Moxon on 40M,
1st call. Ok, perhaps enhanced grey line help, but I had quite a bit of daylight
here still. Love the Moxon and 40M.
Thanks to all who worked me. Thanks to K7ZS for letting me run the station,
keeping Joe, KT7E memory alive / on their air - plank owner from our little
club.
