Comments:
Thanks again to Frank Donovan, W3LPL, for letting me invade his basement for
this one. I spent a few hours reconfiguring the 160 meter position of his
multi-op station for SO2R - mostly wiring in a Microham u2r SO2R controller,
remembering all the configuration settings I didn't write down from last time,
and upgrading/configuring N1MM on two of his computers.
The first hour was good for low power - 115 QSOs may be a personal best for me!
I heard a few weak Europeans so I was hopeful.
I spent too much time Friday night trying to force European runs and doing
S&P. I ended up with 85 ten-point QSOs - mostly Europe - and sacrificed
some rate to the west (US mostly). I had high hopes for Saturday night - I
hoped the Europeans would have worked each other and be looking for North
America.
Saturday night was TERRIBLE to Europe from here. I could hear a few European
stations - mostly ones I had worked - and the few I heard that I could work
mostly didn't hear me.
I ended up with only SIX ten-point QSOs Saturday night. And two of those were
LU8DPM and a KH6! I went over thirty minutes without being able to make a QSO
Saturday night.
Never worked anything west of KH6. I did manage to break substantial pileups on
LU8DPM and KL7SB but I never really felt loud.
