Comments:

Europe on all bands. That's how it is supposed to be. Conditions varied over
the weekend but we had our share of pretty good propagation at least some of the
time on all of the bands.
We had 4 operators plus me at the shack and 4 operators remoting in. W0UA was
the in-shack part of twenty meters while W0ZP connected to the second rig from
his QTH in IN. They did a fabulous job of long distance cooperation to make 20
our biggest band. As usual George's ability to log them very quickly during our
abbreviated openings here in the West played a major role in making the twenty
meter score.
Likewise on fifteen meters, K4EA was the remote part of the operation and W1XE
was in the shack. They took good advantage of the return of 15m propagation.
Forty was manned remotely by K7NV in NV and K0AV here in the shack. They dogged
the band and made their usual great showing.
Eighty meters was well managed by low-band specialist, KV0Q. He did a really
good job of making a good score in spite of challenging conditions.
We finally had a ten meter band and a dedicated operator, N5OT, who operated
remotely from his OK QTH. We had some problems with the remote connection on 10
meters but Mark did a great job in spite of it.
I did 160 and was pretty sure I would have a terrible score because Europe
didn't happen the first night and I never heard a JA the first morning. When I
saw the K index going up even more on night number two, I just figured that it
would be a bust. BUT, when the K index hit 5 the band all-of-a-sudden opened and
I worked 27 European countries and about 50 European contacts in a 90 minute
period.

Another great time. I really never get tired of it. Since my days as a M/M team
member at W6RW and K6UA/W6VSS six decades of contests have passed and I still
look forward to the next one.

73,

Chuck and the team
