Comments:
Achieved personal best in QSOs, mults and points for any contest. Getting the
hang of this contesting thing. Thanks to Dave K2XR, Bob KE2D, and Bud AA3B for
showing me the ropes. Worked my neighbor 4U1UN and President John P44W each
twice. Finished with an OX7. Conditions on the Isle of Manhattan were great
Friday into Saturday. Sunday found lots of QRN and QSB. Since my antenna doesn't
hear well, followed Bud's instruction to reduce the number of spotter states and
increase the SkimDB threshold. This had a remarkable effect on the AW, reducing
unneeded spots, making it easier to identify valid spots. Overall, a fun contest
with very pleasant results.
