Comments:
"Non-Assisted" was non-optional in my case; neither N1MM+ spectrum nor
QSO/Mult list were showing any calls. (Cluster was working and the spectrum did
show signals, at least). It was lots easier just to change categories than to
figure out what I had mis-configured. It turned into a terrible weekend all
around due to health care issues, shack time was killed; so "shut up 'n'
play yer mic & DVK" was the right decision.
