Comments:
We were preparing the OH5XO-station for ARRL DX SSB,
so it was nice to test the 4-el 14 MHz and 2-el 7 MHz
up in the Xmas tree 36 m rotary. X-rays were at B5/6
and Aurora around 35 GW, which maybe helped for the
evening USA-path.
Worked VA/IL/CT and Mac G3WZD on 14 MHz. Spent a lot
of time trying to reach N0TA NE5A NJ8M CO/OK/KS, but
the path was too weak for 1200 watts.
RBN showed OH5ZA-spots all over the world for 7 MHz,
but the USA-path was partly cut off by the Aurora...
Will be at least 3 x SOSB in ARRL DX SSB on the open
bands signing OH5ZA OH5XP OH5XO. Hopes for 28 MHz
are not too high, but will try to force 7/14/21 MHz...
