In a world perpetually troubled with unrest and uncertainty, pain and suffering,
amateur radio was the last bastion of a true borderless freedom. The only hobby
completely stripped of prejudice, racial and religious burdens.
For CQ Magazine to use this wonderfully unique hobby as a political weapon is an
insult to all free thinking man.
The shameful damage has been done, and it is non reverseable. I have no choice
but to raise my voice in protest. Regrettably: this is my last WPX / CQWW
contest.
My 4 million points go to those who could not or were not allowed to
participate. I'll see you all on some other band, some other time in some other
truly international contest.
