Comments:
Started the contest very late on Sunday since we were travelling on Saturday. I
experienced significant operational improvements with (1) the use of my new
Yamaha CM500 headset with boom microphone and (2) the use of a loaner foot
switch from NN4RB. Perhaps small steps to more experienced hams, but it yielded
a large increase in operational happiness!
The foot switch would not work at first; but thanks again to NN4RB who isolated
(and repaired) a manufacturing fault in my MicroKeyer II. I really like my new
configuration, especially when stations called back on my first call on 20
meters!
