It was one for the books! But everyone knows that! We kept busy all contest.
Did shut down for 3 hrs or so for naps and storms. Many High points in the
contest like working N2NT on 222 144MSK. And did have some strange stuff happen.
Did not work any EU stations. Did decode a few on Digital but no RR73! Had 4
distinctive 2 M openings. The last on Sunday night was the Biggie! The first and
third were very spotty but-- also produced the low point. Assuming the 3rd one
was over, I shut down the TX on the FT-8 machine on 2M and make a sandwich. I
come back and see "CQ TEST WE7L DM79" decoded 4 times with a +17 and
+13. I quick do the click , see the fade, and keep running. 6 sequences later I
get "N4SVC WE7L R DM79" and thats the end of the story! 1436 miles!
Missed him! Sorry Guy!! Maybe in our next life times!!
