Comments:
Part time operation and missed most of the 40 meter prime time Saturday night in
lieu of a good nights sleep.
Power source: 400 watt off grid solar system consisting of four 100 watt panels
and a 300 Ah lead acid cell battery bank which is a small system I built for my
house a few years ago for emergency backup power.
Transceivers:
40 Meters: MFJ-9340 (Cub) with amplifier, 20 watts output.
20 Meters: MFJ-9320 (Cub) with amplifier, 14 watts output.
Antenna: 40 meter EFHW mounted horizontally 20 feet up.
Active Audio Filter: Hi-Per-Mite (200 Hz bandwidth).
Always fun seeing how well the small MFJ cub works as long as you've tamed drift
and use a narrow audio filter to help tune in stations as close to their TX
frequency as possible.
