Comments:
Fun contest. Surprisingly 15 was my best band. Ran into a glitch on 160.
Discovered in the middle of the night that high wind had pulled the 160 dipole
feedline off at the center connection 50 ft in the air. Switched to low power
and tuned my Flex 6400 to my 80 dipole/40 inverted V at 50 ft. After many tries
W1AW/3 copied my call and completed my 1st 160 contact. Then took a 6 inch lead
outside and shorted the 80/40 feedline to feed as a long wire to the center
conductor input. Worked ZF2VE on my 2nd call and decided 2 contacts on 160 was
enough. Flex 6400, Ten-Tec Titan 425. Mosley Classic 33 at 45 ft plus my
dipoles/inverted V.
