Comments:
For a non-CW operator, I'm as surprised as anyone by the outcome of this one.
My little pistol station running 100W to a vertical just didn't do as well on
phone as it did with CW. Fortunately, the exchange is pretty simple, N1MM
guessed right on non-HQ station zones and my CW reader program bolstered my
confidence in my ability to head-copy CW (which was better at the end of the
contest than it was at the start). I'm by no means a CW contester now, but I
will be less hesitant to grab the paddle (or punch the memory keyer button) next
time. Thanks for pulling out my unimpressive signal and for making this a
pretty fun event.
