Comments:
Another great IARU contest. I have always liked this contest - even
back when it was a full weekend. Getting to play on the radio with
the summertime conditions is often interesting.
Robert, K5PI came over and we did a two person M/S. Everything worked
for the most part and the conditions were very good on 40-10. Of
course it was noisy on the low bands but that is not uncommon for this
time of year and even for a lot of contests from here in Texas.
Robert did most of the CW - I think I made a few hundred on CW -
maybe. And I did all of the SSB operating.
Our goal was to keep the rate up and I think we did a pretty good job.
K5PI said before the start he wanted to get us to 3000 contacts but we
did not quite make it there. It is nice to see that we only had one
hour below 90. And that was I think mostly my hour on 40 CW. I will
try to show some progress next time.
We did not have to shut down for any storms as they stayed away but,
the rain would be welcome.
