Acom 1500 amp failed the evening before the contest so used a 17-year old Tokyo
Hy-Power solid-state amp at about 600W out. It worked well, I seemed to have a
good signal in Europe, at least on 15m and 20m. Surprised that there was almost
no propagation on 10m: apart from a local station on Bonaire, the only station
heard was D4Z. Unfortunately a sked with D4Z on 80m did not work, signals were
just too weak and too much tropical QRN at this end. Found 40m very poor this
year.
Rig: Icom IC-7300, Tokyo Hy-Power HL-1.2Kfx amp at 600W to MW0JZE Hexbeam at 14m
high, 40m inverted-V dipole at 15.5m high, 40m elevated ground plane, 80m
