Comments:

Well that was a blast. Many thanks to Mike N7MH for use of his radios, plus
coaching, etc. Station played well all around, though 80/160 were tough. Some
anomaly with 15m SWR, but in general, things went smoothly, and I'm getting more
accustomed to the antenna switching here. I did have one computer oddity... the
monitor would go off for a second or two every now and then (20 or 30 times over
the day); I said a quick prayer and it always came back. Whew! (Bad cable I
think.)

Blow by blow: Started out with a bang with a 215 hour with 15 in great shape,
and 10 good (just needed more customers). Bounced back and forth between 10 and
20. First break around 2030. Three identical rate hours (130) between 21z and
00z, thanks to in-band SO2R, a W6YX strength. Needed to take more breaks before
dark, so did half-hour on / half-hour off, for a while. By the time I got to 40
it was already good before dark. Did in-band SO2R again to good effect. 80 was
tough and 160 was even tougher. Managed most of the spotted mults on 80, but
not all. Some just couldn't hear me. On 160, just neighboring states.
Returned to 40 to keep my spirits up and revive the rate. In the last 15
minutes, I lost one of the N1MM entry windows off-screen (!) and couldn't
remember the windows trick for getting it back. So just did some 40m S&P
for the last bit. So, to summarize, started with a bang, went out with a
whimper. But still a great day in the Stanford hills (NAQP breaks great for
quick mini-hikes and some bird-watching).
