Comments:
I hadn't planned to stay up all night, but I found 20M for open for hours to VK
and a few other Pacific mults for 5 and 6 point QSOs and new GF (Grid Field)
multipliers I kept this now 80 year old on the air until I had to quit to get
ready for church around 5:30 AM. Before I had to QRT, 40 Meters started to
come alive long enough to work a number of JA, FK, 3D2 and VK mults.
FT4 was the way to go for fast Qs, but FT8 helped on 20M and 40M QSOs to the
Pacific. 589 of my 680 QSOs were on FT4. 91 were made with using FT8.
Running low power I wasn't able to snag any of the decoded Asiatic Russians that
started to appear along with many European FT4 stations on 20 Meters before
sunrise. All in all I enjoyed the WW Digi. Fortunately we all missed the radio
blackout that occurred around 4 hours after the contest ended.
