Comments:
Arrived late at the OH1ZAA-location and did not have
time to build up the fixed station. Thus improvised
with a wire extension of the mobile vertical at the
seaside (Gulf of Bothnia). Wire height about max 6 m
over the rocky ground at 5 m asl (20 m from shoreline).
Aurora peaked over 85 gigawatts during the session.
On 7 MHz signals dipped suddenly at 1910Z and the skip
range widened. In the next 5 minutes I did not find any
new callers, so I went to 3.5 MHz. Signals were restless
with a lot of flutter. A half a dozen stations got just
my partial call (some of them tried hard, thanks anyway!).
I could not reach any of the British station, but EA's
were surprisingly strong, as well as Alena OK4YL.
69 Wh was drawn from the LTO-battery during this session.

Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
