Comments:
That was a stone cold groove!
Jay N4OX and I were comparing notes about 30 minutes before the contest and we
both thought the band sounded puny. Just a few weak signals. Then BOOM! The
contest started and the spectrum display exploded with signals. The nice
sporadic E opening gave me opening rates of 176, 218, 121, 83 and 66.
Saturday morning began with European signals appearing about 30 minutes before
sunrise. After they faded away a few hours later, it became the
California/Arizona QSO party until the JA's appeared.
The process repeated on Sunday, but with less rate.
