Comments:
The December Stew Perry has always been one of my favorite operating events.
This year I experimented with a short 150 foot reversible Beverage-on-Ground,
and it worked very well. My next step should be to add a couple of additional
BoGs to cover other directions. I was hoping to work some Europeans and maybe
even a new country, but that did not happen. I no longer stay up all night so I
missed whatever DX might have been available at sunrise. I was pleased that
there were only a few very clicky stations thumping across the band this year.
Both S&P and running were effective for me. My best DX was KH6AQ (BK29) who
answered my CQ for a 14 point QSO.
Rig: K3s and KPA1500 amplifier
TX antenna: 50 foot T-Vertical supported by trees (short buried radials)
RX antenna: 150 foot BoG (reversible ENE-WSW)
73, Walt, AJ6T (EM66 Tennessee)
