Comments:

Radio: ICOM IC-7610, 100 watts
Antennas: Hy-Gain AV-640 multi-band vertical
1/2 size G5RV dipole in attic
Software: WriteLog for Windows

A personal best and a score improvement of 50% compared to last January. The
conditions were about as good as one could hope, despite the auroral-sounding
signals on 20 meters late into the contest.

Other than operating the full 10 hours, it will be hard to improve this score
very much without an 80-meter transmit antenna.

It would be nice to see more participation from other countries in North America
like TG, V3 and XE, who always seem to be active in the various DX contests. It
was a nice surprise to hear 8P5A again!

It was bittersweet hearing all the ELLENs, FREDs and RODs, in memory of W1YL,
K3ZO and W7OM, respectively. May they all rest in peace.
