Comments:
Checked 14 MHz first, but no propagation. The skip-zone
on 7 MHz was fairly large, but distant signals were loud
tonight, especially from England. I depleted 7 MHz first
and left 20 minutes for 3.5 MHz. On the lower band I could
reach also some close-in stations, let's say 400 km away.
Yesterday I tested the Loop-on-Ground on the low bands,
and using FT8-monitoring I could pick up DX on 3.5 MHz,
while it was only Europe on the sloper wire. S/N-ratio
is so much better on the loop. I am still missing the
relay, to sychronize the loop as the RX-antenna for my
own CQ's on 3.5 MHz, in order to not disappoint callers.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA NP2ZA #1856 CWops
