Comments:
With rising solar indexes, was not expecting much in this event. Overall condx
degraded from last year. Lots of ESP sigs. Saw VE1RST, VE9HF and KL7SB spotted
but never heard them. ND was MIA. Ran out of folks to work Saturday nite and
Sunday AM. Rising local QRN levels make it hard to hear the weak sigs even with
4 rx antennas. When the rate fell below 8/hr, the fun stopped.
DX was scarce with heavy absorption wiping out any EU. But I was spotted in LA
and SM. Always frustrating to hear the east and SW get all the EU Qs. Did snag 4
JAs Saturday grayline. JA3YBK and JH4UYB were weaker than usual. None on Sunday.
BY4SZ was 569 with incessant CQs but never heard him get a Q. 4 KH6 stns in the
log. Dave, KH6AQ was the loudest. All the Caribbeans heard got in the log. PJ2T
was loud.
