Comments:
Having been in a warmer place SCUBA diving for a week, I'd forgotten how many
things I'd disconnected before I left, so I was off to a late start. The first
10 QSOs or so I was really in the groove, thinking that the brief hiatus had
done me some good. That soon fell apart.
Diving usually amplifies the tinnitus for a few days which didn't help, and
neither did the lingering fatigue I always get after a full week of intense
activity & travel hassles, but overall it was good. Apologies to the 3
stations I heard but ultimately could not copy. I probably could have narrowed
the filters but that option never crossed my mind during the hour for some
reason. As usual, the close-in stations were a constant background noise.
It is nice to be back at it. Another trip looms so I'll be missing some more
sadly (no reciprocal licensing), but I'll get what I can while I'm here. Thank
you for the calls. It was nice to hear all the familiar calls and some new
ones.
