THANK YOU to Bill, N5YA for use of the station.
I don't know if I've ever heard better HF conditions than the first 24hrs of the
contest. In fact, the entire contest good, but the first part was something
special.
My primary goal was to work new DXCC band slots. I picked up about 10 new ones.
I did a fair bit of S&P and chasing packet spots. I slept plenty both
nights, chased some DX on SSB, and had a few off times. Highlight was working
JT1BV on 10m -- a new DXCC and Zone on 10m.
Not having an antenna that pointed to SA and not having 160 hurt the score, but
still thrilled at the result.
