Comments:
Only operate CW contests with the exception of the CQWW 160 meter SSB contest as
160 meters is my favorite band. Only operated part time both nights so I could
spend time with the family. Conditions were poor and very few signals heard
from the West Coast. QRN was low both nights except for a few lightning crashes
early Sunday morning. Had fun working stations that I normally work during CW
contests on 160 meters.
Transceiver: Kenwood TS-180s (100 watts)
TX Antenna: 68 foot base loaded vertical wire hanging straight down from a very
tall Sycamore tree with 55 short buried radials (2500 feet of radials)
RX Antennas: 3 small point fed pennants (pointing 40, 160, and 300 degrees).
