Comments:
After moving back to the west coast one year ago, I've been trying to rebuild my
station here on Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, this QTH has been overwhelmed
with local power line noise that makes operation on the low bands impractical
and just only somewhat difficult on 15 and 10 meters. The good news is that
there were a lot of loud stations to work over the weekend as conditions were
quite good. 10M did not fully open to EU during the contest with the Saturday
conditions slightly better than Sunday. I did spend time trying to work zones 15
and 20 as there were a number of requests to QSY for the multiplier but it was
tough sledding on both days. Due to the noise, most all of the QSO's were
S&P but I'm hoping that the local power company will be responsive to my
requests and next contest I can CQ and hear the response.
