Comments:
This one was incredibly snakebit. Found a nice run spot at the beginning and
then it promptly got taken over by someone apparently testing his keyer (or
maybe intentionally messing with me) by sending random dahs. There was no place
to go, so I stuck it out for a few minutes until I could finally move enough to
get the QRM out of my receiver passband. Then the radio had some kind of hiccup
that decided to turn on the RIT with a several kHz offset. This took a minute or
two to figure out. I ended up with a grand total of 5 QSOs in the first 10
minutes. Things finally stabilized and I got a really nice run going that lasted
for most of the rest of the hour. With about 5 minutes to go I did a quick QSY
to 80 meters to put just a few more in the log. I'm amazed I ended up with as
many QSOs as I did. It sure would have been nice to have the same rate for the
first 10 minutes. Since we have the time change this weekend this will likely be
the last 0300Z session I can run until next November. See everyone at 1300Z next
week.
