Comments:

Fri: Got off to a rocky start, note to self for the 100th time it really helps
to read the rules and fully understand the exchange! I lost a good EU contct and
multiplier right off the bat because I didn't realize that the time was part of
the exchange (RST, Serial #, & time). The correct macro command to add to
N1MM exchange is {Time2}. 20 meters was open at 0200 to parts of the midwest US
and I saw a couple of EU stations S&Ping. At 0415 I worked ZL3P in New
Zealand who had a 579 signal into SC. Also worked J69DS in Trinidad.

Did of S&Ping then switched to running when I ran out of stations to work
40 Meters was pretty active with quite a few stateside stations from the North
and midwest. The band was open to parts of the East coast of EU as well, worked
stations from Norway & Denmark (OZ11A) with pretty strong signals. Small
opening to the Carribean at 0322 and got to work J69DS in Trinidad again for
another mult. Looking to EU, MM9I was a bit light but was able to pull him out
with my ground mounted Gap Challenger. I am finding out that this antenna has a
pretty nice low takeoff angle and sometimes outperforms my loops on 40 meters,
depending on band conditions.

Worked HB9CAT in Switzerland on 40 @ 0526 , took a couple of tries due to severe
QSB but got him in the end. Things started getting really slow after ON5GQ in
Belgium answered my CQ @ 0540. Shut down for the night 0553.

Sat: Start time 1213 Quick S&P to see where the bands were open to.

(10 meters) S&P to see where the band was open to. Not many stations in the
waterfall; open to EU, SA, & Africa. V55Y light but worked with two calls on
my 5/8 10 meter vertical. Heard PY5AMF 1226 unable to work him just yet. had
better luck with PV2K, tried to snag him with the E/W super loop, several calls
no answer. Switched to 5/8 vertical got him with one call. Z35T North Macedonia
came in 1230 worked with one call on my E/W Super loop. Worked PA6AA in the
Netherlands 1241, Nj4P still on my tail Hi.

(10 meters) Running not proving to be very fruitful 1440, doing a quick run
through S&P w/ E/W S Loop worked MM9I 1438 (2nd band)

15 meters: 1245 S&P open to EU but stations harder to workworked YO3VU in
Romania with hex but took a couple of calls. EA4FME quick on the trigger, wasn't
sure who he was answering, turned out to be me got him with the N/S Superloop
1253. G2L England worked 1301 with N/S Super Loop. Tried running @1531, band is
weak. Worked G3G & K7OM @1532 E/W SL rate too slow, back to S&P:

**Took a break from 1607-2014 for lunch shower & nap

10 meters pretty dead, worked one station in Brazil and another in Peru OA4DOS
2015(E/W Superloop)
15 meters dead as well, worked a few stations S&P in the midwest US 2028.

20 meters: Quick check lots of super light stations with the more prominent
signals being fron northern USA.

20 Meters: 2032 Very busy open to EU SV3SCW Greece worked one call E/W SL.
Worked a bunch of stateside S&P then had a gud run 2110 while jumping
around picking up mults. Picked up VJ3A @ 2114, HG5D in Hungary 2122 Was
getting tired so shut down 2305

Sunday
On the air at 0830, 40 completely dead
20 meters open to EU but signals are light, worked stations mosly on the upper
east coast of EU. OZ0JD in Denmark worked at 0934 20 still very hard to work EU
at greyline, so wound up taking a break. Back on the air 1430

10 meters somewhat open,1450 couple stations heard out of lower EU, tried
calling Z36N but he faded out, worked SV2BVN in Greece right after. 1648 saw
TA2E in Asiatic Turkey spotted, was able to see his light signal but too weak to
work, tried listening both long and short path with my hex, long path seemed to
hear a bit beter but not much.

20 meters attempted run @ 1700
Mix of stateside & EU

15 meters EU RUN: 1941 Wales GW5NF Greece SV2AEL 1939 E/W SL GI1GKI N Ireland
1944 others include Germany, Netherlands, Quebec end 1958 good run!

Switch to 20 meters, run begin 2006, mix of NA (mid West states) and some EU no
sign of JA's anywhere! Run was a no go end 2016

40 meters still pretty dead at 2200 tried to run using the two Superloops and
see if I could attract some q's but only got a few stateside. Switched over to
the Gap Challenger vertical and started getting a little bit of EU, signals were
weak but readable. Picked up 9A1HBC in Croatia, UZ1WW in Ukrain, & M7T in
England around 2234.Very slow day mostly due to weak band coditions, shut down
0000.
