Comments:
First time back with 40 meters. Very rusty/fusty. SO1R only with the two
radios....no interleaving. Plain-Jane stay on a band until moved to the next
one.
Got 40 working today with the little ol' 40 meter two element nested at 30 feet
or so. Pointed west. Rotator wiring needs fixing. Worked surprisingly great! The
fifteen and twenty meter opn was on an OB3-11 and also feel it worked great. Now
must focus on a really bad line noise problem, but the K3s powered along with
the NB and NR cranked up. Feel pretty good and it was terrific to hear the
"good old boys" in there tonight. This is sorta like NASCAR on the
radio!
Five min segs: 8, 9, 11, 8, 9, and 6.
Good to be back, Never heard Dale in Houston. Am I rare? (Smiley face)
73, Jim N3BB
