Comments:

A big thanks to Stan ZF9CW for letting me use his station again this year!

Rig: TS-590 + PGXL amp
Ant: 2 stack-matched tribanders (one to the NE and one to the NW)
     40M vertical and 80M sloper

His house and the island of Cayman Brac is very XYL-approved. That's a big
thing since this is our wedding anniversary weekend. We went snorkeling on
both mornings of the contest then an early lunch, then radio :) Reef diving
last week and this coming week...

32 hours on the radio seemed just right. 40/80 gets very slow after EU
sunrise and W/K bedtime, about 1 AM local time. The high bands are slow
in the summertime mornings until lunchtime local.

This contest is all about 40 meters. The TX antenna is a single aluminum
pole on the beach with 2 elevated radials. The 9 circle RX array in the
swamp is amazing.

There were rain showers popping up all day on Fri/Sat, and the noise was
often S-4 on the vertical (and sometimes on the yagis). I used the RX
antenna a lot on all bands.

The online scoreboard adds so much fun to contesting, it keeps the BIC!

73, Bill KO7SS/ZF2SS
