Comments:
Fairly casual operation this time out -- 10 hours in the chair. Conditions
didn't seem very good on the high bands, and activity on the lower bands wasn't
especially strong. Figured on more for a Friday night-Saturday RAC contest.
Really missed the territories in this one. Finally worked VE8 in the last 15
minutes while calling CQ on a mostly dead band -- a hail Mary attempt to get at
least one NT in the log. Also didn't hear NL at all.
A lot of stations needing to turn off RIT/XIT or practice tuning CW signals --
calling 300hz-600hz off frequency. Not sure why it's becoming more common in
recent years, but it has.
Thanks to all who got on even for a few Qs in RAC Canada Day.
