Comments:
As a ham located in Queen Anne's County (pop 51,711), I always look forward to
running in this contest. It makes for a good opportunity to practice handling
incoming pile ups.
I started on 20m and found it to be very noisy & difficult to complete phone
exchanges. I switched to 40m at the first sign of increased activity and found
better conditions.
I find the exchange to be frustrating for a state QSO Party. Callers generally
had no idea what their category was or what I was telling them mine was. The
organizers should considering making the exchange more basic, IMHO.
As others have said, I see room for improvement in the way this contest is run,
but I look forward to participating in next year's MDCQP.
