This is to set the record straight regarding the new 3-600Z. Our intention
was to begin promotion of the 3-600Z after we started volume production.
Inadvertently a picture of an early prototype was published in a recent
Svetlana ad along with a group of well established Svetlana types. Of course
the outline, the same as the 3-500Z, has generated much interest in the
reflectors and we are inundated with telephone calls. The cat is out of the
bag, so to speak.
Accordingly we plan to have prototypes at NAB and at Dayton.
We have not yet developed specifications. We have not established the
price. Delivery to distributors will not begin until late this year.
The rugged 3-600Z will have increased power dissipation, and a large gas
free zirconium-coated molybdenum anode. The Svetlana 3-600Z will be fully
compatible as a replacement in all 3-500Z equipment.
