That is what Henry USED to put in their 8K-Ultra. They have pulled it off
the market due to chronic RF tank circuit problems.

What you have to remember on using these big tubes is that the blower
requirements are such that the amp usually must be located away from the
ham shack. That and the 3CX3000A7 was what made the 8K-Ultra such a great
idea. The pi-l network uses fixed caps with large, cumbersome solenoids
that are a nightmare to keep in alignment. Perhaps a redesign is in the works
at Henry!
