 Hi all

Thanks for all information concerning the 813, 3X3 and 4X3.
 (Rich-AG6K, Phil-K5PC, Tom-W8JI, Carl-KM1H and others)

The 2x813 story ends up with <1kW and just rarely used. (2,8kV at key down!)
It seems to me like a reasonable compromise!
I will *not* rebuild it for G2DAF even if there are several descriptions
around! :-)

The 3X3 really has its supporters and I've seen many good reasons, but I'm
still
curious about building a tetrode amplifier.

I have a couple of pull out tubes in the cupboard named QBL5/3500, a PHILIPS
made tetrode,
widely used in old PHILIPS (from the 60's) FM-BC TX's.
They are about the same size as 4X3.

 Anyone familiar with these tubes?

Are they suitable for a home brew 1,8 - 30MHz SSB project? (have no figures
about IMD)
