The SB-220 160-10M kit has been placed on hold due to a massive increase
in cost of some components. I am trying to source in Eastern Europe and
hope to resume shipping later this year.
Only 60 kits were shipped. The only problems reported were that my
instructions required the owner to have the original construction manual.
With the recent upsurge in manual reproduction offerings from several
sources this should no longer be an issue; I may even include it.
The installation is fairly complicated and requires disassembly of a good
portion of the RF circuitry. A new input network, bandswitches, plate
choke, 20-160M tank coil and fixed padding caps are used.
An option under consideration is a new 2 section Tune cap which will
offer improved tuning on 10-20M. This hinges on my ability to get switch
costs under control as well as off-shore source the cap and other parts.
I will be glad to answer any questions via E-Mail; I just do not have
time to respond to individual postal mail requests.
