Each 3-500z likes to have about 65w of drive. If you have a 200w driver,
you should be able to drive 3 bottles. If you can manage 4kV under
load, such an amplifier should be able to deliver about 3k pep. At the
receiving end, a 3-holer would beat a 2-holer by about 1/3 of 1 S-unit.
With 150w drive, an 8171 would beat the 3-holer by over 1 S-unit.
........... Above 1500w, S-units are not inexpensive.
