I came accross some tubes in the garage of a friend of mine today and I
wonder if anyone on this reflector could help with the specs.

The tubes are made by Siemens and the type number is RS 1016. They are a
glass tube and look like they are betwwen the size of a 3-500 and a 4-1000.
The base pins are the same classic configuration and betwwen the size of a
3-500 and the 4-1000. The anode is ribbed graphite as in the 3-500zg tubes
and my guess is that it is good for about 700-800 Watts dissipation.

Any info on the tubes such as filament volts, plate volts, biasing, idling
conditions and class of operation (C, B, AB, GG etc) would be gratefully
received.

If they are suitable for hf ssb use then I would also love to hear some
ideas on how to get them and their matching sockets into my hands. The only
thing I can think of at the moment is murder but I want to know if it would
be worth it first. Hi Hi.

73 and thanks in advance,

Alek. VK6APK.
