Could someone explain how 3000 watt, 50% duty cycle amplifiers are legal in the amateur service in the US? Or is my copy of Part 97 out of date? (Specifically 97.313, but 97.317 also implies that type acceptance requires outputs below 1500 watts) 73 Peter G3RZP -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/ampfaq.html Submissions: amps@contesting.com Administrative requests: amps-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-amps@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
