You might consider TenTec and SGC -- they both make models at about 500W
output level -- also Metron (?) I believe makes or made a similar
device. I believe the TenTec model is the Hercules II (someone once told
me to avoid the -I version -- I don't have any personal knowledge about it).

P.S.: Note that the SGC and Tentec run off 12VDC (13.8VDC) power supplies
pulling 80 - 100 A. I believe that one or both of the models you
referred to may require a different voltage level - like 24VDC or 28VDC
(at less current, of course). You need to consider what voltage will be
available in your mobile installation.
