Proper input matching design with purely reactive components will allow
you to match ANY impedance to 50+j0 Ohms. Even purely resistive loads
can be matched in this way. Follow it using a Smith chart if you doubt.
No, you can't compensate with a *single* component, but you most
certainly can design a matching network for it so that your rig will
"see" 50 Ohms.
