Oh and why not John?
The 3CPX5000A7 is basically a 3CX15000B7 internals and 5000A7 anode. It
is a Hi-Mu tube with an amplification factor of 200 and is designed for
linear service. The ultra linear YC-156 used in medical service is a
selected version of the PX .
The large cathode emission reserve will make either designator a superb
SSB tube; and easy to drive.
There are several amps already in use since the YC-156 is showing up
fairly regularly as full output pulls.
